December 2022 Newsletter

Hello CRRC’ers!

Well, we’ve had snow on the ground and wind and rain in the air. Add bouts of real cold and I think many of us are thinking about indoor parts of the hobby, like our winter builds. If so, at least consider coming out for the December meeting, at Goodnow Library in Sudbury on Wednesday, December 21st, 7:30PM. If you bring a show-and-tell - whether from last summer’s flying glories, or rich plans for what you’re building to fly next year, you’ll earn an extra raffle ticket.

And don’t forget an outside venture for the Frozen Finger Fun Fly - January 1st, 2023 (a Sunday this year, even). We’ll start around 9AM and fly whatever Mother Nature feels like allowing us. Dress for conditions and bring your sunny disposition!

Whether your pleasures are indoors or out in the near future, I hope you’ll also enjoy the attached the December Newsletter, with updates on FAA regulations (more coming in future issues), sources for promising kits to build, and an introduction to CRRC’s new Discord chat server. If you missed Mike Whidden’s recent email to the groups.io list on the latter, catch the details here and come join us online.

Fair winds.
