With the Bill Martin Flying Field recently cut, rolled, fertilized, and in general
spruced up, Fritz Bien and Chris Schuch decided it was time to host a funfly. Sunday June
2nd provided us with ideal weather for the event. About a dozen club members joined the
fray, choosing 3 events out of 7 possible. Jack Hall won the fun fly, but everyone was a
winner when the prizes were doled out last place first.

Jack Hall's high wing trainer may not look like the ultimate funfly plane, but it was
enough for first place. Behind Jack is the CD Chris Schuch, who is always prepared to pose
for the cover of GQ. In the background, one of The Dopplers captures Jack's flight on
video. |

Banished to the family truck (probably the safest place to be during a funfly!) are a
couple of young Condons. Father Bill is charged with maintaining the field, and he does an
exceptional job at it. Thanks Bill! |
