Home > Flying Sites > New Hampshire Slopes If you know of any other sites that might make an good flying field or slope site in New Hampshire, please click here to send mail to webmaster "at" charlesriverrc.org. [Courtesy of Dick Williamson, williamson "at" ll.mit.edu, February 1999] Morningside Flight Park
Location: Morningside Flight Park is a converted 80-acre dairy farm which now operates as a center for hang glider and paraglider enthusiasts. However, they let RC slopers fly there. The fee for a day at the park with your glider is $5.00 which gives you access to the whole park. Check to see if it is too busy to fly RC gliders. There is no frequency control. Occasionally, RC planes fly on the opposite side of the road, so check for possible frequency conflicts. Contacts: There is a 150-foot southwest facing slope that is mowed grass top to bottom. Also, there is a 250-foot west-northwest facing launch site. Check out the web site which includes lots of photos. Mt. Ascutney and the Connecticut River Valley are seen to the west. Read the nice writeup by Jim Davis on page 14 of the February 1999 R/C Soaring Digest. Amenities include a swimming pond, a concession stand, and camping for $5.00 per night per person. |
