Second International Whipper Whiz Contest Results

...as reported on September 13, 2000...

Top 5 in distance are:

  1. Tom Broeski, 171'4"
  2. John O'Sullivan, 110.5'
  3. Tom Meyer, 102' 6"
  4. Mark Meyer, 100'
  5. Kevin Leichty, 90'

Top 5 in duration are:

  1. Tom Broeski, 35.03 sec.
  2. Mark Meyer, 13.0
  3. John O'Sullivan, 11.82
  4. Tom Meyer 11.2
  5. Kevin Leichty, 8.4

Tom Broeski's duration score is over 3 times the best reported in the first contest and distance is nearly an additional 40 feet.

Those reporting in, say they had a great time with their friends and families flying this little bird.

Remember, other than starting with a 1" x 6" x 1/16" balsa wing, a free hand is allowed in this 2nd contest to modify the airframe to push the envelope. I got some posts with great digital pics of several modified Whizzes used which I will forward to anyone interested.
