Taper the last portion to the tip. Otherwise you get all kinds of disturbed airflow at both tips every time you make a control input. You need to use a flexible tape at the transition point. I put teflon tape in the kit. Phil Barnes is now making the whole kit so he should have some. I've seen some with the aileron tapered at the tips and some cut out like regular ailerons. has any one compared the performance between the two. Also is the there a cut in the aileron between the tapered portion and the straight section that is attached with tape? Charles |
