I flew the Spacewalker, converted to e-power. Spec: Aveox 1415/3(?)Y w/ H160 controller Kruse Intro 1000 2:1 ratio 28 X RC 2000 with Graupner 13.5 x 8 prop. dry wt: 4.15 Kg wet: 6kg AUW. The initial set up was 26 cells with 1415/3Y and 2:1 geared, it pulled 31 amps with 13.5 X 8 at 8100 rpm . These numbers contradict with e-calc. I will try the virtual motor stand from Aveox. And I added 2 more cells before I flew it for added insurance. I did not get the numbers for the current and rpm at 28 cells.( too busy flying 8-)) It took off with authority and flew with good power. And it floated like a Kadet. Like it a lot. The original landing gear is straining a bit on landing. Need to beef it up a bit. The recommanded AUW for wet powered was 4.5 Kg, at 6 kg, the landing gear was not happy. Brian |
