[Courtesy of Nick & Alex Froude [n.a.froude "at" xtra.co.nz], August 1999 - as posted to EFLT]

Back in my control-line combat days it used to be the thing to do to cut both ends out of a food can, squash it slightly into an oval, heat it on the stove, then use it to cut oval holes in the wing between spar and TE.

A lot easier than using a hotwire and templates, and the oval holes prevent stress risers

Nick
